This 2007 Shannon Ridge, High Valley Lake County Reserve Barbera is bright, juicy, tangy and mouth-filling. Sour cherry and sweet candied fruit combine with boysenberry and blueberry to tantalize your taste buds. Barbera ripens late in the season. The ripe, balanced fruit of this Barbera's naturally high acidity has created a soft, lush wine. Fruitdriven, it can be enjoyed now, or cellared for up to five years.
The grapes used to produce our 2007 Shannon Ridge Lake County Barbera were left on the vines long enough for the acid to come into balance. We did a long, cold soak on the skins to improve color and enhance the fresh fruit. The fruit was pressed before dryness to maintain the delicate flavors and aroma.
Shannon Ridge Vineyards & Winery, on the steep mountain slopes in Lake County, uses sustainable farming practices to produce the finest mountain fruit possible. Our winemakers are impassioned to create wines that represent the best of our vineyards.
