What can I expect with each Passport shipment?

The first shipment in the Passport Wine Club membership is a "welcome shipment". It will contain:

  • A welcome letter/wine appreciation newsletter,
  • A Food & Wine pairing guide,
  • Two wines from reputable wine region,
  • A regional lesson,
  • A convenient "luggage" folio to house your materials.

Note: A sturdy 3-ring binder will arrive in the member's 7th shipment to house more lessons as they continue with the program.

Members will receive 2 reds, 2 whites or mixed based on their preference. Your shipments will be tied to the particular region or topic covered during that month. (Ie. Spain, France, Italy, Wine Competitions, Awards & Ratings, etc.) We may also choose a wine that reflects the varietal grown in that region from another area. The program is designed so that eventually you will cover all of the wine regions/topics we explore.

Can I pay for Passport by check?

No. At this time, Passport can only be ordered by credit card.

What is the timing of delivery for Passport?

The first Passport welcome shipment is delivered within days of ordering. Delivery time will vary depending upon state.

After the first month's welcome shipment, Passport continuous shipments continue based on the regional lesson being covered in that particular month. Passport continuous shipments are made during the first two weeks of the month and scheduled to land on or about the 15th of the month. Delivery time will vary depending upon state. If possible, choose a business address where someone over the age of 21 will be available to accept delivery

How far in advance do I need to order a gift to have it arrive by a certain date?

Dates will vary by state. We suggest you allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. Use a HOLD date wherever possible to ensure timely delivery for a special occasion.

How do I know in which month I will receive my first shipment?

All orders entered before the 20th of the month will receive their welcome shipment in month 1 and their subsequent shipments in month 2 and beyond. Orders entered after the 20th may receive the next month's wines depending upon when they are processed. For instance, if you want November wines as the welcome shipment, your order needs a Hold Date prior to November 20th to include these wines.

How do cancellations work?

The member or the gift-giver can make cancellations by calling 800-782-WINE (9463). Cancellations on pre-paid orders are granted on a pro-rata basis. Cancellations must be made by the end of the month in order to stop the shipment for the following month.

Is there a Passport Hotline I can call with questions?

A special hotline number is available to Passport members at 866-434-WINE (9463). This Passport line is offered to provide enhanced service for any membership questions or for Passport members to place orders in which they require personalized advice.

Am I charged each month or charged for everything up front when I order a 3, 6 or 12-month Passport program?

You are charged all at once for a fixed length program as follows:

To coincide with a gift-giving occasion can I put a Passport order on HOLD before it begins?

Yes.

A HOLD will temporarily delay the membership until a specified start date. This HOLD date is entered when a Passport order is entered. Note: Please allow 7-10 days from the start date for delivery.

You may also PAUSE your subscription by calling Customer Service. The pause feature is helpful if you will be traveling or are in the midst of moving.

How do gift cards work?

We have designed elegant gift cards especially for the Passport program. These gift cards are available for FREE and can be delivered to the gift giver (for ultimate delivery to the recipient) or mailed directly to the gift recipient. Included with the gift card is a brochure that explains the program.

Gift cards are available by phone only. Gift card requests should contain the following information:

How can I order more Passport wines?

Periodically, Passport members will receive offers to purchase additional wines. These offers come in the newsletter-style lesson with each regular monthly shipment and are detailed on the last page of the lesson.

Passport members will be able to reorder the wines they receive in our program for at least 3 months after a given wine has been used in a monthly shipment. However, often our wines are in limited supply and we cannot guarantee availability.

How can I make sure that my Passport wines arrive on a timely basis?

An adult over the age of 21 must sign for Passport Wine Club shipments. Therefore, consider sending Passport Wine Club shipments for you or your gift recipient to a business address for convenience. Also, please provide us with your gift recipient’s email address so that we can notify them of shipments and the full range of member benefits.

Are there any restrictions on Passport that I should know about?

State limitations on maximum bottles in certain states also apply to Passport shipments. Passport can be shipped to the following states:

AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, SC, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY

3 case/mo - ND

2 cases/mo - IA, IL, MO, NC, NM, OR, SC, VA, WV

2 cases/year - MN, WY

4 cases/year - LA
